You know what they say about people who don't like Riesling don't you? Let's just say it's not very nice.
The grapes from this vineyard which is nestled on beautiful Underwood Mountain in the Columbia Gorge is twenty seven hundred feet elevation making this an ideal site to grow Riesling. This fruit hangs a very long time and is often the very last fruit to get picked during harvest. Long hang-time allows the grapes for better physiological ripening without high brix (sugar) and still keeping the acid high. Riesling is a manget for terroir so you can sense and taste the minerality in the wine, but still with notes of fruit. The pear blossom Riesling has hints of apple, peach, lemon and with some age in bottle, the mouth feel will round out and creamy.

Description
With The Big Easy we wanted to pay homage to one of our favorite cities, a culinary mecca and great supporters of our wines, New Orleans.
This well-structured blend has the same characteristics you have come to expect from The Big Easy, rich dark fruit flavors with a touch of oak, and soft tannins that lead to a long lengthy finish.
