wineVenturini Baldini is synonymous with estate-grown, organic, dry Lambrusco. Produced by Julia and Giuseppe Prestia in their 130ha family estate in the hills between Reggio Emilia and Parma in Emilia-Romagna, these wines really represent a so-called new generation of Lambrusco wines.
Since 1976 Venturini Baldini have been producing organic Lambrusco and sparkling wines as well as premium balsamic vinegars under the brand Acetaia di Canossa. In 2015, Giuseppe and Julia Prestia took over the estate from the Venturini Baldini family, continuing the visionary work of the previous owners to produce organic sparkling wines of only the highest quality, focusing mainly on red and rosé Lambrusco and sparkling wines from autochthonous grape varieties.
The vines, mainly Lambrusco and other autochthonous varieties, grow in 32ha of vineyards in the foothills of the Apennine at an altitude of c. 170 to 370m, in clay-rich soils. From the outset operating as an organic winery, Venturini Baldini has been organically certified since the 1980s, and this commitment is deeply rooted in their approach to farming and wine making.
The winery is also open to guests and, following extensive and careful restoration works, hosts an exclusive boutique wine relays in its historic Villa Manodori, creating the perfect hub for guests to discover the Food Valley and Motor Valley in Emilia.
